Modax Online Store for Microsoft Dynamics 365
Your customers order online.
Dynamics 365 stays in charge.
A B2B store for the customers of manufacturers and distributors. Each customer sees their own products and agreed prices, places and repeats orders, and every order arrives in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations as a sales order.
- Built for food, wholesale and distribution
- Managed inside Dynamics 365
- No fee per order
- From USD 500 per month
Why Modax Online Store
The ordering desk your customers wanted, without a second source of truth.
Most B2B portals keep their own copy of products, prices and customer rules, and someone has to keep it in line with the ERP. Modax Online Store takes them from Dynamics 365 and leaves the decisions with the people who already maintain the master data.
Dynamics 365 is the master
Customers, products, prices, payment terms and delivery addresses come from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The store keeps no price list of its own.
Managed where your team already works
A Modax Online Store module inside Dynamics 365 decides who is published, which products a customer sees and what each customer may do. No second system for master data.
Orders without retyping
Your customer's buyer places the order and it is a Dynamics 365 sales order, at the prices of that customer. Customer service stops retyping e-mails and phone calls.
A walk through the store
From the catalog to the sales order.
These are screens of the product, not drawings. The data is demo data: a food wholesaler and one of its retail customers.
Each customer sees their own store
- The catalog shows only the products assigned to that customer. Assortment groups and customer exceptions are kept in Dynamics 365.
- Prices are the customer's own: sales agreement first, then trade agreement, then the item price, or the rule you choose for that customer.
- Search, categories and product pages with photos, allergens, ingredients and storage information.
An order in a minute, on the customer's terms
- The delivery address comes from the customer's addresses in Dynamics 365.
- Payment terms are shown as they are set on the customer account, for example net 30 days. Your customer's buyer sees them and cannot change them.
- A requested delivery date, a substitution choice for each line, and the order is placed.
The order is a Dynamics 365 sales order
- Placing the order creates the sales order in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, with its lines and the agreement prices of the customer.
- The sales order carries the reference of the online order, so customer service can tell it from a phone order.
- If Dynamics 365 cannot be reached, the order waits and is sent again. Nothing is lost, and your team sees what is pending.
Status without a phone call
- Your customer's buyer sees every order with its Dynamics 365 number and its status, from confirmed to delivered.
- Repeat last order puts the same lines back into the cart. Suggested reorder lists what this customer buys.
- The home page also shows the account at a glance: balance, outstanding and overdue amounts.
Your customer sees where the account stands
- Every invoice from Dynamics 365 with its date, due date, amount and what is still outstanding.
- Outstanding, overdue and paid totals at the top, and a filter for unpaid, overdue and paid invoices.
- An invoice opens with its sales order number and its PDF. Questions about a statement stop reaching your accounting team.
The weekly order places itself
- Your customer's buyer saves a list with quantities, delivery days and a delivery time.
- The order is created on every cycle without anyone retyping it, and your customer can still change the list.
- Made for suppliers whose customers order the same basket every week.
Your team orders on behalf of a customer
- From the Back Office a sales rep opens the store exactly as the customer sees it: their products, their prices.
- The rep places or reviews an order for the customer, and your customer's buyer finds it in their own order list.
- The store shows who is acting for whom, and the activity log keeps it.
Who sees what is decided in Dynamics 365.
The store comes with a module that lives inside Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The people who maintain customers and products today decide what the store shows, in the forms they already use.
Publish with a checkbox
A field on the customer and on the released product decides who and what is in the store.
Assortment groups
A named list of products. A customer belongs to a group, and exceptions add or hide a single product for one customer.
Settings per customer
Full ordering or view only, returns allowed or blocked, and the pricing rule, on the customer record.
Defaults for everyone else
The pricing rule and the returns rule that apply when a customer has no setting of its own.
The Back Office shows the settings of a customer and says where they are managed.
One order, followed from end to end
- Published customers and products
- Assortment groups and exceptions
- Sales and trade agreements
- Payment terms and addresses
- Their catalog and their prices
- Cart, checkout, standing orders
- Orders placed by a sales rep
- Created with the agreement prices
- Carries the online order reference
- Picked, shipped and invoiced as always
One click on Sync from D365 in the Back Office brings the store up to date and reports what changed.

Companies on Dynamics 365 whose customers order the same products again and again.
Wholesale bakeries and food producers, distributors selling to retailers and restaurants, and suppliers with trade accounts. If orders reach you by e-mail and phone today, this is the lane.
Questions we hear first
Does the store keep its own prices? +
No. Prices come from Dynamics 365: sales agreements, trade agreements and item prices, in the order you choose. On the sales order Dynamics 365 applies the agreement price itself.
Who decides what a customer sees? +
Your team, in Dynamics 365. A customer is published to the store, belongs to an assortment group and can have exceptions. The store follows with the next sync.
Which Dynamics 365 does it work with? +
Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations today. Business Central is on the roadmap: tell us if that is your system.
Is there a fee per order or per user? +
No. There is no fee per order and buyers are not counted. Plans are sized by the number of customer accounts you serve.
Do your customers pay online? +
Orders are placed on the payment terms of the customer in Dynamics 365, such as cash on delivery or on account, and the store shows these terms. A payment gateway can be added as a project.
Can our sales team order for a customer? +
Yes. A rep opens the store as the customer, with the products and prices of that customer, and places the order. The activity log records who did it.
Can we see it with our own process? +
Yes. Book a demo and we walk through the catalog of one customer, an order, a standing order and the sales order as it arrives in Dynamics 365.
